Ursula Heinze de Lorenzo

(Cologne/Germany 1941), novelist, children’s literature writer, poet and translator, studied German Philology in Cologne and moved to Galicia Spain in 1968.
She worked as a German lector in the University of Valladolid (1973 – 1977). Since 1979 she has dedicated herself exclusively to translation and literary creation collaborating in radio, newspapers and literary magazines. From 1991 – 1995 she has been president of the Galician PEN Centre. She is member of German PEN (1995) and has been vice president of the Translation Committee of International PEN London (1992 – 1999)
